Kelly is happily married to her husband, Paul, and mom to her college-aged son, Ethan. She is presently completing a BS in Religion: Evangelism from Liberty University, Rawlings School of Divinity. Kelly serves in several ministries and has a history of teaching apologetic science, computer technology, and photography in Christian schools as well as a background in ophthalmology and business management.

​Artist Statement

I picked up my first camera in 1984, and haven't put it down since!  Whether using one of my many home-made pinhole cameras, black & white 35mms, digital cameras, or cell phone cameras, I am always aware of the details, texture, patterns, light, and shadows around me...  And, I think that is one of the gifts of photography- finding that there is beauty in all things and recognizing your relationship within your environment. 

Any object can radiate splendor and interest given the correct perspective. I love filming the rusted, broken, discarded and forgotten objects that have been touched by so many; that have been witness to so much.  I often wonder how many people are so busy that they sleep walk through life without realizing the riches that surround them.  Just imagine what that big old tree or washed up ship's mast has experienced! Lift up that rock or examine the underside of that flower—you might just be surprised at what you find!
